Ukraine has entered into a memorandum of understanding with European defense firm KNDS to jointly produce medium-caliber ammunition for its armed forces. The collaboration focuses on manufacturing shells used in automatic guns to target enemy troops, light armored vehicles, and low-flying aerial threats. The project will be managed by Ukraine’s state-owned defense firm Ukroboronprom and KNDS’s Belgian division. Ukroboronprom’s General Director, Oleh Hulyak, emphasized that the partnership expands Ukraine’s international defense ties and supports its goal of integrating into the NATO defense industry.
