Ratel is advancing Ukraine’s use of unmanned ground systems with the rollout of its latest platform, the Ratel X, a compact robotic vehicle optimized for frontline operations. The design focuses on agility and survivability, enabling troops to operate with reduced risk in high-threat environments.

Built for demanding terrain, the Ratel X features six independent wheels that provide enhanced traction and stability on uneven ground. Its 42-centimeter ground clearance allows the vehicle to move through battlefield obstacles such as debris, shell craters, and rough terrain without compromising mobility.

The unmanned platform offers a range of up to 120 kilometers and a top speed of 18 kilometers per hour, supporting extended missions while maintaining precise control. These characteristics make it suitable for sustained operations close to the front lines.

Capable of carrying payloads weighing up to 400 kilograms, the Ratel X can be configured for multiple roles, including logistics support, equipment delivery, and other mission-specific tasks. The platform underscores the continued evolution of unmanned ground vehicles as a critical element of Ukraine’s modern battlefield strategy.
