Turkish shipbuilder STM has officially begun constructing three Ada-class corvettes for the Royal Malaysian Navy, as part of a contract signed earlier in June. The launch of production was marked by a steel-cutting ceremony held at STM’s Istanbul facility. The vessels, classified as Littoral Mission Ships, are set for delivery by mid-2028. Once completed, they will support Malaysia in executing a wide array of maritime security and patrol missions.
