Raytheon, a subsidiary of RTX, has signed a multi-year supplier agreement with TTM Technologies to support production of the US Army’s LTAMDS air and missile defense radar. The contract, valued at up to $200 million over a three-year period, reflects anticipated increases in production as the program advances toward higher manufacturing rates.

As part of the deal, TTM Technologies will deliver a range of advanced electronic components, including RF assemblies, printed circuit boards, and mission-critical hardware, supporting Raytheon’s next-generation radar. The partnership builds on earlier cooperation between the two firms during system development and pre-production phases, ensuring continuity as LTAMDS enters expanded production.

The agreement is also aimed at mitigating supply-chain risks and enabling faster system deliveries to meet US Army timelines. The LTAMDS radar is designed to supersede the Patriot radar, offering full 360-degree coverage and enhanced capability to counter increasingly sophisticated air and missile threats, including complex and simultaneous targets.

TTM’s role includes the engineering, fabrication, and testing of Beam Forming Network components, along with specialized printed wiring boards used in both the LTAMDS and GhostEye radar families. These technologies are central to the radar’s multi-target tracking and discrimination capabilities. Raytheon, selected as the LTAMDS prime contractor in 2019, has already completed several flight tests and operational demonstrations, reinforcing the system’s importance within the Army’s evolving Integrated Air and Missile Defense framework.
