This year, the US Army will finally operationalize its “Dark Eagle” long-range hypersonic weapon (LRHW), ending years of delays brought on by many testing setbacks. According to a defense official who spoke to Defense News, the breakthrough was mentioned in a recent US congressional report. The paper states that by the end of fiscal year 2025, the first unit will receive the ground-based LRHW.
