A possible $91.2 million sale of precision-guided munitions to Australia has been approved by the US State Department. 54 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket Systems-Alternate Warhead (GMLRS-AW) rounds, telemetry kits, engineering services, and associated support will be sent to Canberra. Its objectives of strengthening national and territorial security, enhancing interoperability with US troops, and promoting industry as a new supply source will all be aided by the proposed sale.
