Offshore Service Vessels LLC, a marine transportation company, has been given a contract by the US Coast Guard to supply a commercially available icebreaker ship to support missions in polar regions.The Louisiana-based company will transfer and reactivate the MV Aiviq, its anchor-handling tug supply vessel, along with the necessary technical data, spare parts, certifications, training, and upgrades as part of the $125 million project.The state of the system and any further needs will be assessed in order to ensure that it is fully functional at delivery.
