Under a $78.5 million agreement, the US government has approved the possible sale of MK 54 MOD 0 lightweight torpedoes to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has asked for 20 lightweight torpedoes that are ready for launch, together with handling shapes and containers, MK 54 recoverable exercise torpedoes, and replacement components.The agreement also includes program assistance and logistics, with up to two personnel from the US government or RTX contractor visiting the Gulf country.
