The sale of AN/TPS-78 long-range radar to Egypt for $304 million has been approved by the US State Department. Along with supporting equipment including KIV-78 cryptography devices, GPS devices with selective availability anti-spoofing modules, and spare and repair parts, Cairo asked the US for an undisclosed quantity of Northrop Grumman radars.
