Thales and Naval Group have inked a deal for Thales to provide high-performance sonar systems for the next submarine class of the Royal Netherlands Navy. They will outfit the Orka-class submarines, which will eventually take the place of the operational Walrus-class ships.By identifying, locating, and categorizing undersea threats at different ranges and frequencies, the sonar suite improves situational awareness.
