Thales has signed a strategic agreement with the UAE’s Tawazun Council to locally produce its Ground Master air surveillance radars. Announced during the “Make it in the Emirates 2025” event, the partnership aims to enhance the UAE’s defense manufacturing capabilities and boost its global defense exports. A dedicated facility for assembling, testing, and qualifying these advanced radars is set to become fully operational by 2027. The initiative also expands Thales’ Radar Centre of Excellence in the UAE, underscoring the country’s commitment to developing cutting-edge defense technologies.
