The European Union has approved Switzerland’s participation in the Cyber Ranges Federation (CRF), a collaborative project aimed at strengthening cyber defense across Europe by linking national training infrastructures. The CRF facilitates joint exercises, training, and research focused on cybersecurity technologies, including AI, autonomous systems, and the protection of vital infrastructure like power grids and military networks. Led by Estonia, the initiative brings together several countries—such as Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, and Luxembourg—to standardize and expand cyber defense capabilities through shared testing, validation, and experimentation.
