The Indian Ministry of Defence has finalized two major defense procurements to enhance maritime capabilities. The first involves acquiring Russia’s Shtil naval air defense system designed to counter aircraft and missiles. Additionally, six Advanced Light Helicopters Mk-III will be supplied by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited to support the Coast Guard’s surveillance, search-and-rescue, and maritime protection operations.
