Denmark has awarded Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles (RMMV) a long-term framework contract to supply as many as 1,000 logistics trucks under its modernization initiative. The agreement includes an initial order for more than 100 HX and TG trucks, worth tens of millions of euros, and forms part of the Danish effort to strengthen its heavy infantry brigade. The Ministry of Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) is overseeing the procurement, which covers vehicles, fleet sustainment, spare parts supply, and operator training modules.

The deal also extends Denmark’s existing support contract for its HX truck fleet by four additional years. The first deliveries are expected before the end of 2027. RMMV’s HX series, widely regarded as a highly resilient military mobility solution, comes in nine base variants ranging from 4×4 to 10×10 layouts. These trucks offer payloads between 5 and 16 tons and are powered by MAN D2066 Euro 4 diesel engines producing 440 horsepower, enabling a top speed of 100 kilometers per hour and up to 800 kilometers of driving range.

The HX platform supports mission flexibility with a 400-liter fuel tank and the ability to transport up to 17,000 kilograms of cargo. Its modular architecture allows it to handle demanding operational environments, making it a preferred choice for NATO and allied forces. The combination of high payload capacity, long range, and all-terrain mobility positions the HX family as a cornerstone of Denmark’s future logistics capabilities.

RMMV’s TG lineup also plays a key role in the contract. Based on the company’s proven commercial heavy-vehicle line, the TG family includes 4×4 and 8×8 models adapted for military use. The TG-MIL and TGS-MIL versions deliver between 340 and 540 horsepower and offer up to 17 tons of payload capacity. With fuel capacities reaching 400 liters and ranges exceeding 800 kilometers, TG vehicles provide performance similar to the HX series, offering Denmark a versatile and enduring logistics fleet.
