The ArGe D-LBO (Working Group for the Digitalization of Land-Based Operations), a collaboration between KNDS Deutschland and Rheinmetall, has secured a contract from the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) to digitize the command-and-control systems of the German Armed Forces’ vehicle systems.The six-year contract, valued at EUR 1.98 billion, includes integrating advanced digital radio transmitters and command-and-control systems into various vehicle platforms. ArGe D-LBO will oversee the execution of the entire project.
