In a joint effort, Thales and KNDS France have launched a land-adapted variant of the RAPIDFire defense system, extending the platform’s capabilities from naval to terrestrial missions. The system is intended to defend strategic ground-based assets in rapidly evolving battlefield conditions.
Designed for close-range protection, the RAPIDFire system effectively neutralizes threats such as unmanned aerial vehicles, loitering weapons, low-tier cruise missiles, and incoming indirect fire. Its effective engagement range reaches up to 4 kilometers.
With a 140-round ammunition reserve, the system maintains sustained firepower, reducing reload intervals and supporting continuous defense during high-intensity operations.
