Pratt & Whitney, an RTX company, has secured a contract from Dynetics, a Leidos subsidiary, to deliver TJ150 turbojet engines for integration with the Black Arrow Small Cruise Missile.

The TJ150 is a compact, high-thrust turbojet known for its rapid production and proven scalability. Producing 150 pounds of thrust, it is optimized for high-altitude missions and is suitable for a variety of autonomous systems and missile platforms for both domestic and international clients.

While initial integration discussions began in 2023, this contract officially started in April 2025 and will continue into early 2026, with provisions for future engine orders. Pratt & Whitney is actively improving the engine’s design to enhance cost-effectiveness.

So far, over 2,700 TJ150 engines have been delivered to support various missile applications globally. Pratt & Whitney is now applying additive manufacturing to ensure continued reliability while offering greater production agility and expanding its global supply chain.
