As part of its efforts to expand its naval force, Oman’s Ministry of Defense has purchased “several” ships from Bangkok-based shipyard Marsun. The contract, which was signed in Muscat by Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Za’abi, the secretary general of the Omani Defense Ministry, called for the purchase of unspecified ship types that are anticipated to “improve the capabilities of the Royal Navy of Oman.
