NOMAD, a next-generation unmanned ground vehicle (UGV), has been unveiled through a collaboration between Scout AI and Hendrick Motorsports Technical Solutions (HMS). The vehicle is powered by Scout’s advanced Fury autonomy stack.

The project represents the second UGV form factor to incorporate Scout’s autonomy technology, while also becoming the first to utilize the firm’s fastest autonomy model. This milestone demonstrates Scout’s focus on scaling its AI for diverse vehicle platforms.

In this context, “fastest” refers not to the UGV’s top speed but to the efficiency of its AI-driven autonomy. The system achieves lower latency, accelerated decision-making cycles, and enhanced real-time adaptability to dynamic environments.

By being optimized for low-power and compact vehicles, the NOMAD expands the practical use of unmanned systems. Its improved autonomy enables deployment in missions where traditional UGVs face size, energy, or speed-of-response limitations.
