South Korea is investing in advanced aviation expertise by sending its air force personnel to train at the UK’s Empire Test Pilots’ School through a partnership with QinetiQ. The program is designed to enhance both pilot and engineering competencies in flight testing and aircraft system evaluation. Participants will undergo a six-month course that blends classroom learning with practical flight exercises, enabling them to develop a comprehensive understanding of aircraft performance and testing methodologies. The training also emphasizes analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex data, which are critical skills in modern aerospace development. By participating in this internationally recognized program, South Korean aviators will gain exposure to global best practices and collaborative training environments. This initiative strengthens the country’s ability to support advanced aircraft development programs and improves its overall operational readiness in aviation testing and evaluation.
