Cyprus-based Theon International has signed a contract worth over €100 million ($115 million) with a European NATO member state to deliver thousands of advanced night vision devices, including goggles, monoculars, and binoculars. The deal represents a significant portion of a larger €300 million ($344 million) multi-year framework agreement announced in mid-October, which also includes the supply of the company’s cutting-edge IRIS-C thermal clip-on systems.

According to the agreement, deliveries for the first batch will be spread evenly over 2026, 2027, and 2028. Theon expects additional orders in the coming years for both night vision and IRIS-C thermal systems, emphasizing the ongoing modernization efforts within NATO forces to enhance nighttime operational capability.

This latest contract follows Theon’s earlier €50 million ($58.7 million) deal to supply next-generation IRIS-C systems to Germany and Belgium. Combined with the new order, the company’s total confirmed contracts for the current fiscal year have reached €370 million ($425 million), marking a record-breaking period of growth for the firm.

As of early November, Theon International maintains an active order backlog estimated at €700 million ($804 million), excluding October invoices, alongside additional options under negotiation worth €720 million ($827 million). The company’s expanding European footprint and sustained demand for its optical solutions highlight its growing role as a key supplier of night vision and thermal imaging systems for NATO and allied nations.
