A fully autonomous launch and recovery system (ALARS) for unmanned surface vessels (USV) has been introduced by Maritime Tactical Systems (MARTAC) in partnership with Sealartec. It enables MARTAC’s MANTAS T8 and T12 USVs to launch and recover autonomously from MARTAC’s Devil Ray T38 USV. The Devil Ray T38 is 11 meters (36 feet) long, while the T8 and T12 are 2.5 meters (8.2 feet) and 3.6 meters (11.8 feet) long, respectively.
