M-tron Industries has been awarded a $20-million production contract to supply high-reliability radio frequency components for a leading US air defense system, strengthening its position in the defense electronics supply chain. The two-year agreement underscores the continued investment by the US military in advanced RF technologies critical to air defense readiness.

The contract will see manufacturing performed at M-tron’s Orlando, Florida, production site, with deliveries planned through mid-2028. Company officials noted that the air defense program supported by the components is expected to continue well into the next decade, supporting both US and allied defense requirements as threats evolve.

M-tron produces RF filters and precision clock oscillators designed for use in a broad range of military and aerospace platforms, including guided munitions, tactical communications, radar and electronic warfare systems, unmanned vehicles, and space assets. The award follows several recent contracts, such as a $5.5-million order in 2025 to support a US Navy weapons program and a $3-million contract for rugged RF filters tied to a long-running air defense effort. Later in September 2025, M-tron also secured a production deal for next-generation multi-domain data link RF components, with the program expected to remain active into the 2030s.
