A memorandum of understanding has been struck between defense manufacturers Leonardo and Baykar to collaborate on the production of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). In order to fulfill Europe’s anticipated rise in demand, which is expected to exceed $100 billion over the next ten years, the Italian and Turkish companies will form a joint venture for the design, development, production, and maintenance of UAS.
