Kyiv has officially presented the TOLOKA underwater drone family during Defense Tech Valley 2025, marking the first time the system has been displayed publicly. The unveiling underscores Ukraine’s drive to accelerate the development of homegrown defense technologies at a time when indigenous solutions are increasingly critical to national security.
The lineup, revealed on September 19, features three different drones capable of long-range strike missions. According to program details, the series includes platforms with ranges extending up to 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles), offering Ukraine a new layer of maritime strike capability.
Among the systems is the TLK-150, the smallest variant, engineered specifically for infiltration and stealth operations. Its design makes it well-suited to asymmetric warfare tactics, where discreet deployment and survivability are paramount. Together, the TOLOKA family represents a strategic leap forward for Ukraine’s unmanned underwater capabilities.
