The Netherlands has announced a €110 million ($127 million) investment to co-produce deep-strike unmanned systems with Ukraine, a move aimed at expanding Kyiv’s long-range strike capacity while embedding its defense industry within NATO manufacturing networks. The cash injection will support joint production facilities and allied cooperation on design, testing, and logistics.
The financing is executed through the Build with Ukraine framework, which promotes relocating key Ukrainian defense production to safer sites in NATO countries. By doing so, the initiative protects vital supply chains from battlefield disruption, harmonizes production standards with Western partners, and accelerates the delivery of advanced systems to Ukrainian forces.
In practice, Build with Ukraine already shows tangible progress — for instance, Ukraine’s Fire Point is manufacturing solid rocket motor propellant for the Flamingo cruise missile in Denmark. Officials say these cross-border arrangements both reinforce Ukraine’s ability to sustain long-range strike operations and deepen industrial ties between Ukrainian firms and European defense ecosystems.
