Sweden has greenlit the procurement of 100 4×4 medical vehicles to bolster its defense logistics under a 2023 program.
This order from Iveco Defence Vehicles is part of a larger push for 3,000 MUV-based light tactical vehicles across 12 configurations.
The first procurement wave covered 400 vehicles: 200 flatbeds, 100 for transporting troops, and 100 ambulances.
All systems are expected to be delivered by 2027, with the potential for contract extension through 2032.
Each medical unit will include sustainment assets to enhance field utility and long-term performance.
