The German military has selected Blackhawk to deliver a new modular holster solution for its soldiers, marking another step in the Bundeswehr’s push to standardize and modernize personal combat equipment. The contract highlights the increasing emphasis on flexible, mission-adaptable carry systems within European armed forces.

Blackhawk’s Holster Carry System is designed to support multiple carry positions, enabling personnel to wear holsters on the waist, chest, or thigh depending on mission requirements. Integrated quick-release mounting interfaces ensure compatibility with Blackhawk’s ecosystem as well as third-party solutions such as G-Code RTI, allowing fast transitions between loadout configurations.

Produced in the US, the system is built for rugged field conditions, emphasizing long-term durability and ease of integration with existing soldier systems. Helmut Hofmann, Blackhawk’s German partner, described the cooperation as a showcase of how US manufacturing expertise can be combined with German logistical precision to meet demanding military standards.

The deal was supported by Outdoor Marketing International, Blackhawk’s European representative, which played a key role in navigating regional procurement requirements. The award comes amid a series of Bundeswehr soldier-equipment initiatives, including Rheinmetall’s framework agreement for tactical communications headsets, tenders for standardized sidearm holsters, and continued procurement of modular ballistic protection systems for elite German military units.
