German defense company Rheinmetall has agreed to purchase a 51 percent stake in Croatian unmanned ground vehicle manufacturer DOK-ING to strengthen its autonomous defense capabilities. The agreement allows founder Vjekoslav Majetić to retain 49 percent ownership while the company continues operating from its Zagreb headquarters with its current management team. The partnership will focus on developing advanced unmanned platforms for missions such as mine clearance, reconnaissance, and combat support. One key initiative is the Wingman armed UGV program, built on DOK-ING’s Komodo hybrid platform, which offers high payload capacity and modular mission integration.
