General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has been awarded a $580 million task order to help maintain the integrity and resilience of security systems at U.S. Army installations. The work includes sustainment and support for base defense components such as radars, cameras, and sensors used to protect personnel and infrastructure.

GDIT will also utilize its Cove AI Ops platform, a digital solution powered by machine learning and analytics, to enhance system monitoring and data-driven decision-making. The contract focuses on addressing threats such as unauthorized access, hostile drone activity, and cyber incidents.

The agreement begins with a one-year term and includes options for up to four additional years of support.
