The United States will supply the Romanian Naval Forces with MQ-35A V-BAT vertical take-off and landing drones. The service will purchase a total of two V-BAT systems, each with four drones. A government-to-government agreement will be used to make the acquisition, which is expected to be worth $30 million. The purchase is a component of the Romanian Navy’s larger procurement program, which also includes multipurpose wheeled platforms, man-portable anti-aircraft weapons, and maritime patrol boats.
