Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has awarded a contract worth over 500 million Danish kroner ($75.5 million) to Danish company Weibel Scientific for the delivery of XENTA surveillance radars to support short-range air defense. Scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2027, the radars will be integrated into the Norwegian Army’s mobile National Maneuver Air Defence System, introduced in 2024. This marks the largest order in Weibel’s history and represents a major milestone in its mission—launched in 2019—to develop the world’s leading surveillance radar for target detection and classification. The deal also advances the company’s goal of reaching 2.5 billion Danish kroner ($376 million) in revenue by 2030.
