British defense giant BAE Systems has partnered with Czech systems integrator PragoData to deliver advanced Integrated Product Support (IPS) solutions that will transform the way Czech defense organizations manage and maintain military assets. The collaboration underscores Czechia’s growing commitment to digitalization and long-term sustainment within its defense infrastructure.
The partnership’s initial phase will see BAE Systems provide PragoData with software tools and lifecycle management services tailored for military equipment. Together, the companies will develop a comprehensive digital ecosystem that enables the Czech defense sector to modernize asset tracking, logistics, and maintenance operations across fleets of armored vehicles and other mission-critical systems.
At the heart of this initiative is PropheSEA, BAE’s flagship asset management platform currently deployed with the Royal Navy and NATO allies. Integrated with Eurostep’s ShareAspace for secure data and logistics exchange, the system offers real-time visibility into maintenance and readiness, ensuring faster turnaround times and greater operational efficiency.
The BAE-PragoData collaboration comes amid Czechia’s defense modernization push, as the nation boosts defense spending and invests in high-end systems. The government aims to reach 3% of GDP in defense expenditure by 2030, bolstered by major procurement programs and partnerships with international defense manufacturers.
In line with this vision, Czechia recently began receiving CV90 MkIV infantry fighting vehicles under a long-term contract for over 200 units, while also approving a Leopard 2A8 tank purchase valued at 32.76 billion Czech koruna ($1.56 billion). These initiatives, combined with BAE’s digital support framework, mark a significant step toward a more integrated and technology-driven defense force.
