Curtiss-Wright Corporation announced a new $31 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract awarded by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) to supply Airborne Mission Processors (AMP) and associated spare parts in support of the MQ-4C Triton unmanned aircraft (PMA-262) and PMA-290 Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft. The contract also provides for Total Lifecycle Management™, engineering support, and system training, with work scheduled to run until September 2029 under Curtiss-Wright’s Defense Solutions division.
The AMP system is built using Curtiss-Wright’s industry-leading Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) modules, including the VPX6-1959 single board computer, CHAMP-XD2M multi-core processing module, VPX6-684 network switch, and VPX6-4943 GPGPU board, along with critical support elements like chassis, fan control boards, and front panels.
Curtiss-Wright also previously confirmed its support for the MOSA-based Keyed Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Airborne Recorder (K-BAR) NAS solutions for the MQ-4C Triton and upcoming PMA-290 aircraft, which include the provision of modular storage units, chassis, docking stations, and associated laboratory cabling systems.
