Teledyne FLIR recently embarked on a Canada-wide demonstration tour to present its UltraFORCE 380X airborne imaging pod, an advanced variant of the Star SAFIRE series. The system was displayed during flights with the unit attached to the front of a helicopter, drawing attention to its next-generation design.
A dedicated team of four operators piloted the tour, covering over 10 cities in seven provinces. The goal was to showcase the system’s capabilities to potential users in defense, law enforcement, and search-and-rescue sectors.
The UltraFORCE 380X integrates infrared and color camera sensors, coupled with continuous optical zoom and low-light vision, making it highly effective for long-range surveillance and critical monitoring tasks. These features are aimed at expanding mission versatility under varied operational environments.
Unlike its baseline Star SAFIRE predecessor, the UltraFORCE variant benefits from being unrestricted by international regulations. This allows wider deployment opportunities, giving it a competitive edge in global security markets.
