Berlin is considering a large acquisition of approximately 500 MARS 3 multi-mission rocket artillery systems to strengthen its long-range firepower. The program would include a framework arrangement allowing both Germany and partner countries to procure launchers and munitions. Initial procurement phases are expected to center on 150-kilometer-range rockets, with deliveries projected around the end of the decade. Future stages could include thousands of additional munitions annually, including loitering weapons and longer-range missiles designed for multi-domain operations and coastal defense roles.
