DroneShield has won a $6.2 million defense contract to provide integrated counter-drone capabilities to a military customer in the Asia-Pacific, reinforcing the region’s accelerating investment in airspace protection. The deal reflects a broader shift among Indo-Pacific defense forces toward layered counter-UAS solutions as drone technology becomes more accessible and operationally disruptive.
Announced on December 30, 2025, via an Australian Securities Exchange disclosure, the contract will be fulfilled in full during 2026. Delivery will be managed through a local reseller affiliated with a global defense prime contractor, a structure that facilitates rapid integration of DroneShield’s systems into existing military command, control, and air defense networks.
The contract includes DroneShield’s DroneSentry-C2 command-and-control platform alongside supporting hardware components. The software-centric architecture allows operators to fuse sensor data from multiple sources, improving situational awareness across crowded airspaces while enabling rapid response against both commercial and military-grade unmanned aerial threats.
DroneShield has now completed 14 orders worth over $48 million through the same reseller since 2023, signaling sustained demand rather than isolated purchases. Defense analysts note that counter-drone technologies are increasingly transitioning from niche capability to standard force requirement, positioning DroneShield as a key player in the evolving Asia-Pacific air defense and electronic warfare ecosystem.
