Australia has initiated a defense program to develop medium-range precision loitering munitions as part of its Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA) initiative. Known as the Talon Strike program, the effort aims to create kinetic systems with capabilities comparable to guided missiles. To support rapid development and deployment, the government has already issued a request for tenders for the new capability.
