Anduril Industries has been chosen by the United States Navy and the Defense Innovation Unit to provide its Dive-XL autonomous underwater vehicle for the XL-AUV program. The project focuses on building advanced unmanned underwater systems capable of long-distance missions exceeding 1,000 nautical miles while operating at depths greater than 200 meters. These capabilities are intended to enhance naval operations by allowing underwater surveillance, reconnaissance, and other missions without relying entirely on crewed platforms. The Dive-XL also features a modular design that allows it to support various payloads and mission requirements.
