The US Army is set to roll out an innovative online hub that will centralize the purchase of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The goal is to make drone acquisition faster and simpler for troops in the field.
Officials from the Program Executive Office (PEO) for Aviation revealed that the site will feature an Amazon-style layout, letting users filter drones by price, operational range, performance specifications, and other criteria.
By bypassing the traditionally lengthy procurement process, the platform will help soldiers rapidly secure drones tailored to their operational needs. The move is part of the Army’s broader push to modernize and accelerate equipment delivery to the battlefield.
