For the US Army’s long-range reconnaissance program, AeroVironment has introduced an unmanned electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft system. The platform, known as the P550, can quickly adapt to changing battlefield conditions thanks to its modular design. Without the need for extra tools, it may be adjusted in the field for a variety of missions, including strike and reconnaissance.It is an unmanned Group 2 aircraft that weighs between 21 and 55 pounds (10 and 25 kilograms) and can fly up to 3,500 feet (1,067 meters).
