The Philippine government has signed a deal with French shipbuilder OCEA for the delivery of 40 fast patrol boats to bolster its coast guard fleet. The vessels will be based on OCEA’s FPB 110 MK 2 design and will include integrated logistics and maintenance support. These new boats will add to the five patrol vessels previously delivered by OCEA between 2017 and 2020, including the 84-meter BRP Gabriela Silang, the coast guard’s first large offshore patrol vessel built by the French company.
