The Pentagon has contracted Nan Inc. of Hawaii to deliver a $211 million communications hub at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, reinforcing the US military’s command-and-control capabilities in the Indo-Pacific.

An initial $91.3 million in construction funds has already been committed, with the remainder of the budget to be allocated in subsequent phases. The funds are structured to remain available beyond the current fiscal year, ensuring steady progress throughout the project timeline.

Oversight of the work will be conducted alongside the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific, based at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. The collaboration underscores the Navy’s role in expanding vital infrastructure supporting US forces in Guam.

Scheduled for completion by March 2030, the center will provide advanced communications infrastructure, underscoring Guam’s strategic role in regional security and US military operations in the Pacific.
